Yay stephsmum! Congrats on reaching the almost 20wk mark! Good luck at ur scan - be sure to let us know how u go!!

AFM off to Obs tomorrow, have my GTT Not looking foward to it. Had one in May after my MC, and the drink almost made me throw up - and i wasnt pregnant!! Ugh. Im also going to enquire about a 3D scan package... $185 gets us a 20min US session, Minimum of 10mins footage on DVD, all still images on a CD, and 4 printed 3D pics - Plus im still in shock about bubs being a boy, so any chance to get a 2nd look suits me lol.

Hope everyone is doing well and settling into the new year all ready to go!

Hi ladies do you mind if I join. I am finally pregnant again and I have to say the nerves are setting in! I am only 4w4d along and have so far to go till that elusive 12week mark. I am getting bloods done early next week for some peace of mind and a scan at 7weeks, 9weeks and 12weeks. but I am so scared of that first scan, as last time we didn't see a heart beat.

I was doing well but my bbs aren't as sore today so of course worry is the first port of call. Any advice on how to get through the next 7.5 weeks?

I am in the same place as you are! I am only just 5 weeks after a mc in Nov. Its so hard, I am spending every minute waiting for another mc to happen.

whoops, on phone and pressed send too early. :-)

There is nothing we can do but take each day as it comes, try to think positive and before we know it, we will be 40 weeks! :-)

    Massive hugs. It sucks. :-(

yeah i feel confident on one hand, i do feel i will be holding a baby in my arms in Sept, on the other hand though I know how fast things can change and I think silly things like being confident or happy could jinx me! I know there is nothing I can do to stop anything from happening, I just wish I could see into the future lol!

Welcome Shel! Congrats on ur pregnancy!

I guess as onion said, just take each day as it comes. I broke my 1st 12 weeks up into small milestones to help me get through. I had doctors appointments at 4, 6, 9 and 12 weeks. As well as an ultrasound at 8wks and 12wks. I also added any small milestones like birthdays etc as markers to help break it up.

Id go "Ok, 2weeks until my next appointment..." and just kept thinking like that. Made it easier than thinking "Ive got another 7.5wks to go!"

I wont tell u dont stress, because i know that doesnt happen. Just try to take things easy, and everything as it comes. And just to reassure u that you arent crazy...The worry and nerves about it happening again are only natural. They do ease up over time, the further along u get.

Best of luck to u both!!

Stephsmum- so exciting about your anatomy scan!! It's such an exciting time!!

Shadow- ugh, poor thing! So many ppl hate the drink! Sadly I found it sweet and delicious! Hehe but at least once it's over and done with it's one less test to worry about- and one test closer to bubs!!!

As for the 3d package- it's awesome! I'm so glad we got it done! And Ash looks exactly like he does in his scan (and we were 28 weeks along)!

Welcome onion & shel!!! It really is a day by day, week by week process! It's hard and enough to send you insane but rather than focusing on 12 weeks (which just seems miillees away) focus on the smaller milestones - week marks, first scan etc. I found I just did whaty body wanted - so if that meant not going to work because I needed to rest then I did just that!! Hope the next 5/6 weeks goes quickly and problem free for you both!

Shel- I was sooo excited to hear you got your bfp!!!

I feel the same way. I am so sure that this is the one that will stay and I will be having a baby in september, but at the same time it feels like I am just sitting around waiting to mc. I was putting off dr appointment til 6 weeks so that it will make the 12 week wait seem shorter. :-)

Yeah I will try and focus on the first scan in 2weeks 4 days. hopefully it helps. I am getting some bloods done early next week to help put my mind at ease a bit.

Super just wanted to say congratulations on little Ashton! OMG your birth story sounded really hard.
