Default Does anyone else have a fear of vomitting?

I'm having such a bad time atm. We spent the day with cousins yesterday and their 3 year old had a vomiting bug on Mon/Tuesday. Now I know we didn't see them until 4 days after they were better but I am freaking out that my kids will catch it I'm counting down the hours.......

DH says I'm being ridiculous, but I am still convinced.

Oh dear. I would be the same. But if no one else in their family had it and then it was 4 days you will probably be safe.

Would be easier not to know sometimes wouldn't it?

I know! The 3 year old had it Xmas eve, last vomit 6.30 Xmas morning. The 1 year old then vomitted Wednesday night. We spent Saturday with them at their place.

    I hate being so crazy.

I hate vomiting so much, like most people. But as soon as I know I would have to vomit, I would start crying and saying "I don't want to vomit", like full on crying, even though it might help me feel better. Once I got pregnant, I kind of got over it pretty quick haha damn morning sickness! Still hate it the same, just been real brave and no tears (mostly!!) :P

I think you're pretty safe mum2EandR. My niece was sick Boxing Day and no one else caught the bug even though she was kissing my DD on the lips. I was freaking out majorly watching everyone for symptoms. I know how you feel though xxxx

Sometimes it could also be due to something ones eaten that's made them sick too. I always hope for those gastros as they aren't contagious lol!!

I know it might sound bad but kind of feel better about my phobia knowing I'm not alone! People think I'm a weirdo the way I react around vomit or vomit talk...

Well guess what. Just got the call to say that their 5 year old and the Dad both spectacularly came down with it this morning. So I really can't see how we can avoid it. Freaking out!

My 2 year old just started vomiting, so I guess I didn't have to be on gastro watch for long I am handling it better than I thought, although DH is camped on a mattress with him in the lounge. I can still be near him when he spews and I haven't cried. I'm doing good I think.

Wasn't on gastro watch for long, 2 year old woke vomiting at 3.30am. Great.
