I'll start feeling better once she stops vomiting and a few days have passed so no one else gets sick. Don't think I can handle much more of this. I want my phobia to be something else that's unrealistic like getting eaten by a croc or shark or something.

Oh no I really hope she's better soon. Hugs xx

I'm with you-I want a phobia like being scared of spiders or snakes or something. Being petrified of vomit really makes life difficult, especially with kids.

I've only just seen this thread..

Don't know if this counts as a fear but I have a condition that causes me to pass out before vomiting.

I swallow my tongue (if that's the proper description) rolls my eyes back into my head, my jaw locks and I have on a few times stopped breathing.

About 30 sec later, I wake up and vomit the house down.

So although I don't have a fear of it, I avoid it like crazy.

I once was driving to work, felt my tummy rumble and thought uh oh... 30 sec later I had passed out but luckily only for a sec so was able to put my foot on the brake. Then came the vomit. Everywhere.
Once I nearly cracked my head open when I rolled forward from the toilet seat after passing out.

    I hate it.
I avoid getting blotto and always spit food out if it tastes funny/off.

So, there's my fun experience. Not. Lol

I'm still struggling. My anxiety has flared up. I haven't eaten in 2 days which in turn means (tmi) I have diarrhea coz there's nothing to digest. I feel worse at night time. My tummy is hungry but I just can't stomach anything. Hope this passes soon. I was coping fine until my DD was struck down.

Oh fiery you poor poor thing Is DD improved now. I know how you feel, it's just awful and it feels inevitable that you will get sick, but you might not! Can you get out in the sun and fresh air today and sure go for a walk to clear your mind? I find that helps sometimes!

Misho, that sounds terrible! What is your condition called? It sounds terrifying!! No wonder you try to avoid vomiting at all costs!

We are going over to our friends place that had the tummy bug last week, for dinner tomorrow night. I need to man up and stop stressing. Stupid phobia.

Dd had a big vomit last night and then was fine for 8 hours, had something to eat and vomited it back up not long after. I'm freaking out so much, I'm constantly on edge and my anxiety is playing up. Gah I hate being like this when she's sick.

Hugs. I know exactly how you feel and it's horrible. I hope she's not sick anymore and that you'll be fine from it too. It's so hard being in your position. The anticipation is much worse.

I ended up dodging the bug, however, it sounds like my older brother (the one I stayed at) has come down with it now so my heart is pounding out of my chest hoping that it won't find me next.
