You poor chicken, I really feel for you I am sure with all of your cleaning you will be safe. And I know we've talked about it before, but this bit that you are in right now (the anticipation stage) is worse than anything else! If you are really really unlucky and you get sick, you will cope and you will do amazingly. The anticipation is the worst part!

Absolutely the anticipation is horrible! I think the times DD has vomited without warning I have coped okay, it is awful but I just have to deal it with it. The times we have been exposed to a bug I don't deal with well at all - I feel like I am just on the edge of my seat waiting for it to start. I get very panicky, start obsessing and researching (like looking up how long it takes to get sick after exposure etc) and most of time everyone stays well anyway so I have wasted all that time stressing for nothing. As DH always says 'don't worry until you actually have something to worry about' I struggle with this.

Yeh I call it gastro watch.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who obsesses over it! People around me think I'm mad that I'm so obsessed over it when it's around! I'm really crazy and it's all I think about for days and if I get sore tummy I freak out saying in getting gastro!

I even get to the point I'm scared to have people over in case they have it and don't know it yet and they will pass it onto me/us! Ugh!! I wish I was normal!!!

So glad to know I'm not the only one who suffers with the anticipation. I barely slept or ate last night in case I was getting sick. Anyway my parents are both feeling fine today so it's a short lived bug. Me and DD are both fine as well. I did have to duck home to drop in lemonade but all I could smell was glen20 so fx they've got on the bug and me and DD have come out unscathed. Same thing happened with the flu earlier on so awesome to dodge this one too. I'll stay at my bros tonight and maybe tomorrow night too just to be sure.

Yep the anticipation is horrible, and I completely understand the obsessing and googling and feeling for every little twinge. I also am hyper-aware of my kids, do they look pale? Why didn't they finish their dinner? God it's horrible. But there has to be a way of getting past it. I'm sure there is! I am def. going to try hypnotherapy!

Fiery - that's good that its so short, and sounds like everyone has been cleaning which is good!

I've been doing that with DS1 ever since our first gastro attack a few weeks ago! It's awful. I remember as a kid I used to do it with my sister. I hate living in this permanent state of hyper awareness and anxiety

Well we made it out. My parents were sick Friday night and I stayed at my bros Friday/Saturday/Sunday night and back home today. Phew that was a close call. My family are mostly eating back to normal except my bros gf who is still struggling with her appetite poor thing. Thanks for being able to share my freak out moments with you. It makes me feel a little better.

Eta. DD vomited this morning and I dealt with it fine. It was just a hunger spew I think. Anyway anticipation is much worse. I am more petrified of spewing myself than others around me.
