I picture them hacking away rather than a smooth cut but anyway my mind always plays silly tricks.......
Don't worry, there's no sensation at all when they're cutting. All the pulling and tugging, that's another story...

See I don't mind the pulling and tugging which I know you can feel as long as the cutting is not felt then I am one happy woman

Lol, well when it's pulling and tugging rather than cutting feelings, sign me up for sure.

I was really uncomfortable during the tugging and pulling, it was kind of like being on a theme park ride that you're not enjoying, you want it to stop so you can get off, obviously you can't, so you try to detach mentally until the ride finishes.

I definitely found talking to and joking with the anesthetist and DH during this part distracted me, making it a lot easier.

During my first two caesars I found this bit mildly uncomfortable; with my third it felt like both doctors were trampolining on my stomach, I was even grunting .

The pulling and tugging felt like my stomach was a huge handbag and the Dr couldn't find what he was looking for!

I'm sure that visual will stay with me right up until my surgery in September... and I will almost certainly giggle.
