Yep, you can have a c-section under a GA, but I'm terrified of not being awake when my kids are born.

Ooh daisymoo, how exciting! Best wishes, looking forward to hearing all your news .

P.S. I just had my 4th caesarean too, and it was my quickest and easiest recovery yet.

There's a general consensus that it gets easier (the recovery) every time. Unless something out of the ordinary happens of course.

Good luck for... tomorrow?! I completely agree with Lambjam - my 4th was my easiest recovery. Practice makes perfect!!

Best wishes for meeting your new little person

Thank so all so much for such a lovely thread

I had an emergency c-sec with DS1 after induction went pear shaped and I had spent the past three and a half years preparing myself mentally spiritually and physically for a great VBAC... only to find out earlier in the week that the reason DS2 is breech (I insisted on a scan) is due to a fundal placenta, short cord and around his neck twice. I feel so grateful to know what's going on, and though I didn't want another c-sec I feel like having the opportunity to prepare myself I'll end up with a much better experience than last time.

This thread takes away some of that ache for the natural birth I'd hoped for and replaces it with more excitement for the great experience this can be too

And as a cool bonus my baby ends up with the birth date of the 11/11/11 - and it wasn't even my choice, that just happens to be when Ob wants to do it! Yay

DS3's birthday is 11/11! He was born in 2009 though. What a terrific date for you to have a bubba
