At what age did your bub change from 2 day sleeps to 1?

Hi Ladies,

I was just wondering at what age your bubs were when they dropped the arvo sleep and had just one middle of the day sleep?

My DS is almost 14 months (in 5 days) and for the last week he refuses to have an afternoon nap and I've noticed his morning nap is getting later.

When do you give lunch? Before or after their middle of the day nap? What is your routine?

DS was 18 months old when he went to one sleep, he ate before & after his sleep, kind of like a big morning tea/afternoon tea. Things like sandwich, fruit, yoghurt & water.

My DS was the same at about 13mo. He started refusing the arvo sleep, so I pushed his morning sleep back to 1130-12ish and gave him lunch just before I put him down then another snack when he wakes up. Now most days he sleeps for about 2.5-3.5hrs.

I'm very lucky if my DS has two naps and he has just turned one. Usually he has a cat nap in the gym creche in the morning then will have lunch when he gets home then have a bigger nap sometime in the arvo. He only sleeps probably 2 hours absolute max each day.

We don't really have much of a routine. I give him breakfast, lunch dinner and snacks in between but the times vary, it depends on what I'm up to that day and how hungry he is at the time etc

His bedtime is always 6pm sharp though, funny how I always get that one right on schedule each day

10 months. We ditched the morning nap, have lunch at 12pm, then sleep at 1pm. Still doing this now at 26 months.

DS was 10 months old when he dropped the second nap. At 15 months old he sleeps about 1-3 hours per day and generally goes to bed at 7pm. If he has had a big day he might fall asleep for half an hour in the arvo though

It took a few weeks to make the transition but she was about 20 months. We were lucky!

The boys started to drop their morning nap here and there at around 15 months...now 17 months they only have one nap a day

Rocketman dropped his second nap at 9 months old.

I give him a substantial morning tea before his nap, which (when he still has one) is usually around 11ish. Then when he gets up he has a substantial afternoon tea.

We skip lunch altogether, but he doesn't miss out on the food, only the meal IYKWIM.
