    Default Sperm Antibodies

My husband and I have been TTC (#1) for 12 months. I have hypothyroidism (not yet stable) and just below average AMH (13.5).

My husband has had some issues with sperm quality, and we have had 5 sperm analysis done in the last 6 months. His rapid progress progressive sperm has ranged between 5 - 25% (more often being on the lower end of that range). Normal Morphology has ranged between 5% and 29%
Sperm concentration has always been fine (40 million/mL on average).

Last Thursday our Fertility Specialist told us that my husband has 25% sperm antibodies, and recommended sperm washing and IVF/IUI.

Is there any other type of treatment, apart from sperm washing, that might help with reducing antibodies? (like immune suppressors?)

I don't want to waste years trying to get pregnant naturally, but I also don't want to do IVF if there is some other treatment we can try first. Is IVF my best option?

Thank you for any information you can give me.

    Hi
    Your husband must be tired!!!
If he has this high levels of antibodies insemination after he produces into solution that combats the antibodies or IVF and ICSI are your best options. How young are you? This will dictate success!

    Hi
Sorry but had a few to reply to!
If the reason you are not falling pregnant is because of your antibody situation, there are 2 ways to treat the situation.
Your husband can produce in to a special medium produced by the lab and this will minimize the binding of the sperm and so they will be more able to fertilize your eggs. This sperm has to be inseminated into the uterus at the time you are ovulating.
Alternatively, your eggs can be retrieved and injection of sperm into the eggs (ICSI) can be performed and then 1 embryo replaced in to your uterus.
You are super young and you will take home the kids but you may need some intervention as described above.
Steroids for your husband is a waste of time and can be dangerous
    Cheers
