Hi friends, I really need your help. I am 25 weeks pregnant. I go to RBWH, I have some complication with my pregnancy, they really really dont care at all to me....I should have c section and it make me worried too, how they can manage me...I recently bought a home( not moved yet) so now I am in the catchment of Matter hospital too. Do you think can I go there? I dont trust RBWH any more, they look care less.. however I dont know how is mater. but I hope it become better. Please advice me. I am waiting...

you really need to start your own topic/thread if you want more answers, but anyway what is it that the RBWH are doing that makes you think they dont care about you?

If you want to swap hospitals, go back to your GP and ask for a referral to the Mater.

I found they were really nice to you if you conformed to their ideas. However if you intended to differ from their norm at all, then they could be quite bullying

Also, as an aside, I have noticed the differences due to funding cuts over the years - things like frequency of cleaning has been reduced.

I agree completely! My first experience was horrible!
2nd time wasn't as bad as I wasn't willing to cop any of their sh!t. I only really utilised the hospital to give birth and went home that day.

@bub007 I'm in Boondall and am in catchment for RBWH. I think you would be too. Pretty sure anything north of the river up to sand gate ish is RBWH . Mater is south and to Logan. When are you due ? Xx

In Nundah you would most likely be referred to the Royal, the catchment doesnt generally extend that far unless you're high risk.

I used to live in Nundah years ago and it's definitely the catchment area for the RBH.
