bonbonn, wow I hope that it works for you.... did you have your tubes done?

    katt,
what are you studying? I never finished my degree. I might one day in the future but not till the youngest two are older- its just too difficult. I had to get a new referral as well and though we didn't have to do all the bloods again, I had to have my rubella done again cause it was low. I think I am so glad its all over for me in that department. I am also looking forward to my first grandchild which is funny cos it will be born before it's Aunt . It doesn't worry me....

Luv- yes I had my tubes clamped about nine years ago, best decision I made until........ I got remarried!!!
You just never know what the future brings do you?

We weighed up the option of having them removed but I'm too afraid of an ectopic

    Hi ladies,

    how are you all?

luv, im starting doing a bachelor in teaching primary school i figure atleast its a decent wage when you are finished and its a decent salary and im so tired of teachers not helping kids i figure something is better then nothing. I bet your so glad to be having your last one, i wish i was by now but due to finances and everything else plus i need to lose the weight in order to do the ivf. thats pretty intense that your looking at being a grandma and cant wait for it. my dd is nearly 14 and i dont even want to know a about her having children.

well hope to hear from you soon

    take care

Hi ladies, I've enjoyed your thread here for a while and hope its not an imposition to ask a couple of questions:
I'm 40, my partner is 39 and i have 3 boys from a previous marriage (17, 14 & 9). I had a tubal ligation 2 years ago but would now love to have one more baby. I understand the risks associated with the reversal and have pretty much decided IVF is the best way.
    My questions:
    1. do people ever get a BFP from one IVF process?
    2. how long does a single IVF process take? (from first appmt..)
    3. does everyone have to take hormones, supplements etc.
I hope I'm not being a pain but I'd love to know..
thanks so much girls, my partner has not had his own child and itd be wonderful to have this happen... Is there anyone else out there in my situation ie. 40, 3 big boys, tubes tied/cut?

    Hi Mumof3boys

Like some of us we have had our tubes tied. I guess it depends on what ivf clinic you go through I guess for the hormones every clinic is different and you do have choices the ivf specialist should explain them to you. I got extremely lucky and got a bfp first go though we aren't expecting to be lucky twice. the process will probably take a few months depending on your ivf clinic also and how busy they are, If i can help answer any more questions let me know

    angela

oh hi to all the other mums and bubs i hope your all doing well
