Seriously, Im PEEVED!! VENT

Hi all

Just totally need to vent.... so DD and I are fighting a rotten cold, I have a gland the size of a goldball in my throat... and to top it off DD is teething and woke overnight for about 2.5 hours....
So its payday, and I was really happy because this is the first pay that I will be getting paid at higher duties as Ive been acting up in a different position, thought hooray can treat myself, do some shopping, not feel stressed about bills etc etc.... buy a new microwave coz ours has had the bomb......so check the account, pay is wrong..... grrr, call my payroll give me a big mouthful that beacuse Im acting up in a position theres no real hurry and I should be happy will basepay!!! Um... HELLO!!!! Youve given me half what I should have.....stupid woman. Ans then tells me that it will be rectified next pay.... UM no... you will do it as soon as possible please.
SO then call my manager, oh yeah she says, thats a problem... its proabably because we havent put through your contract..... so basically no ones doing anything and I just have to wait..... too bad that I had plans for this pay.

i hate it when they do that. has happened to me a few times.

my cousin works from the NAB and has been there for 7wks. they have not paid her one cent as she missed one pay week and the others they didnt put through her details. she is lucky she has a partner who works.

Shazzi - i gather you are a midwife...what is it with payrolls of hospitals? I'm not sure i've ever had a pay that has been 100% correct (oh sorry i am a RN). I swear payroll gets all confused over different levels, years, shifts, loadings, on call etc. and just hope for the best when they put through our pays!!! Its pretty annoying! Oh and i hate it when they ask - can we just put it in the next pay? NO! I want it NOW!!! HA!

yep, Im a midwife, I am sooo over wrong pays. Its all sorted now, thankfully. But basically it was the difference between a level 1 pay and a level 3 pay, so thats pretty big. I had thought that someone at work at purposely not put it through properly because shes a bit funny with the fact that Im a level 3, and was carrying on about how I shouldnt pe paid that much, um.... since when do you call the shots lady? If she wanted to do this job, she should have applied ( I was the only applicant) oh yeah,and maybe she should have done the year long course that got me the acting up position in the first place.....
Im off to buy a microwave tonight.....
