Default Medication to increase milk supply

Hi all, at my daughters 4 month check up the doc said she is putting on enough weight and gave me tablets to increase my milk supply. She's a very happy baby, doesn't cry for food and sleeps through the night so i dont think she's too hungry, just not following the curve of the weight chart. Has anyone else taken medication and found any benefits or side effects?

All I can say is I wish I was told about it or offered it - stupid docs! If she is gaining fine though, why does he think you have sipply issues, those charts are a bell curve for a reason, not everyone is supposed to be in the middle.

I took some Vit B Tablets with my first but they were to help with Mastitis but they made my boobs huge!! Anyway just wanted to reassure you that all 3 of my babies were considered 'underweight' and were all breastfeed and slept throught the night or only woke up once. They are all perfectly fine - my middle boy is still small for his age but so was I apparently. My advise it to get another opinion and if your bub is happy, feeding, sleeping, pooping etc.. then they are prefectly fine and stuff that stupid chart in the back of the book. I've been told it's way out of date and is for bottle fed bubbies 40 years ago. Well done you for feeding for 4 months already!!
