Talking How the hell did that happen?

    Hi all,

I thought I'd make a quick post to introduce myself.

SWMBO and I have been TTC for a while now. We were about to start IVF not long ago (she had endometriosis, my swimmers weren't swimming too well, Synarel had been sniffed for 10 days) when we decided to do a test as SWMBO was a couple of days late.

4 tests later we believed that we might've had a bit of a miracle on our hands. 10 weeks in and we've had a couple of wobbly moments, but the surgeon who took out the endometriosis and SWMBO's obstetrician have been reassuring and we're now keeping fingers crossed that the blob we've seen on a couple of scans now turns into a healthy, bouncing baby.

Good luck to those of you waiting and congratulations to those of you that aren't.

    Cheers

    SYB

Man oh man. I hope that blob turns into a screaming, crapping, giggling little thing just like the one we had been waiting for, for so long.

The very best of luck and we're all keeping our fingers crossed for the very best news possible for you. Never give up hope. You can't lose unless you give up.

    Thanks Mummy2Kobi&Hailee and Paul64.

At the moment my focus is on making sure that somebody who shall remain nameless has lumps of cheese and smiths crinkle cut salt & vinegar crisps supplied on demand (even when wandering around the Royal Adelaide Show).

In between that, thinking about bubs and dealing with all the 101 other things that us dads-to-be have to worry about I don't know how I'm going to get through this pregnancy. Women don't know how easy they have it!

I think I might take myself away from the computer now before I get myself into trouble....

    Cheers

    Hey Swimmy.

You had better keep up that supply of snack foods for many months to come. I'm feeling very positive for you guys. Only stay away from the soft cheeses just in case you guys are pregnant OK. That's one of the "No-Go" foods when you're pregnant.

Glad to hear you scored a good day for the show. I won't be going this year as work has been a little too busy.

    Cheers and good luck

    Paul...

ps. Where in SA are you? We're at Morphett Vale.

Saturday was definitely an 'interesting' day at the show. Fortunately we weren't affected by whatever's going on in the dairy pavilion.

Fortunately, SWMBO is a fan of hard cheese more than soft. If I were you, I'd be buying shares in whoever imports jarlsberg cheese :-)

We're just up the freeway in Nairne, so not too far out of the big bright lights of the city, but plenty of greenery around us.

I hope that your little bundle of fun is letting you get some sleep!

    Cheers
