Default Trying again after Missed Miscarriage with Celiac

    Hi,
I discovered I had a missed miscarriage at 11wks at the end of June. I had to have a D&C. I am a celiac and was on medication from a naturopath because my estogren gets recycled.

I was just wondering if anyone has been in the same situation. I have had my first period since the D&C - was lighter than normal but was exactly 4wks since the D&C. We tried again that month that followed but no luck. I have heard that you are more fertile after a miscarriage.
Is anyone that is a celiac that has had the same thing?

Hi ang...just want to send you big so sorry for your loss. I had another m/c last month, seems immune issues could be my problem. But i have recently seen a herbalist and she has told me to follow a gluten-free diet for the next 4 months. I am not a celiac but she said that cutting gluten/wheat from my diet may help my fertility. Apparently celiacs are prone to possible fertility issues & miscarriages....did you see that report on ACA a few weeks back called "the Babymaker"?

I have also heard that you can be more fertile after a m/c but unfortunately not the case with me (had 4 m/c now).

I wish you all the very best...hang on to your dream

    Hi All,

big hugs to you both for your loss.

I too lost my baby (missed miscarriage at 5 weeks) but i didnt find out till my first scan at 8 weeks.

had to have a d&C and i heard those stories about being more fertile after a d&c because its a "clean slate" in there.

but no luck for me - its been 6 months and next weeks would have been my due date so im feeling very very sad.

it can happen strait away - so if your reading this keep the faith most people i have spoken to who hade a miscarriage fell pretty quickly with a few months afterwards.

but for me its not happeneing - ive been seeing a naturopath too - she is great & has put me on lots of yummy (not) herbs to try & decrease my stress levels & increase my mucus levels.

ive been tracking my temperature & other signes using this great free tool called fertility friend for the past 3 months.

i find that very helpful because it pin points if you have ovulated or not so you know not to stop baby dancing just yet.

im going to go back to my gyno - she said to me that if i wasnt preg after 6 months to go back to her. i thought at the time yeah right - i'll be preg again within 2 months! but no. i guess shell do some blood tests etc but even that doesnt give me hope because there are so many unknowns with fertility.

anyway - feeling very sad & i feel like there must be something wrong with me because we've been doing all the right things at the right times and no BFP yet!

people say - "at least you know you can fall pregnant" but seriously that is of little comfort.

oh and my mother in law always says - its better that you had a missscarriage than you went full term and it was disabled or had some serious health problems. which i guess is tru but it really doesnt help me when she says that - like are they the only 2 options i had???? surely it would have been better if the baby was ok & now i would be due in a weeks time!!!!

anyway just venting all the best of luck to you all.
