Default Roll Call...get to know you

So nice to hear from you.

It's a race then, I have 7 weeks to go!

Midwife care is so nice. Makes sense though seeing as though the majority are women and actually get being pregnant!

Do you have other children who will be at the birth? I am really looking forward to sharing this with my children.

So good to hear you are feeling well. Where abouts are you? Are you in for some hot weather?
We're in Perth and it has been quite mild so far.

I'm absolutely thrilled to announce the safe arrival of our son Sersha Anton. Born 24th Jan (my 36th birthday), it was truly the most amazing experience of our lives. I'm looking forward to writing his birth story when I have a few moments. All the best to everyone XOXOXO

    Hi girls

Have found myself to be planning a home birth now. I orginally was doing shared care with the community midwifery program and the birth centre but today was diagnosed with GDM

So the birth centre won't have me but I can still birth at home if I'm just diet controlled and baby isn't too big. I'm only small (49kg) pre- pregnsncy so hoping baby is under 3.5kg.

Trying to see this as a blessing in disguise. I didn't fancy the drive into the birth centre in labour anyway. I'll be doing natural induction techniques from 37 weeks to try have the baby by 40 weeks.

Anyone else planning a home birth?

    Welcome BlueLips

I'm currently 39+4, so eagerly awaiting to homebirth my 4th baby but this is my first through the CMP. So far my DH and I are very impressed.

Were you surprised about your GD diagnosis?
Is your midwife encouraging for you to continue on the program?

How are you going otherwise in your pregnancy?

    Hi Sweetpeamummy

    Goodluck for your upcoming homebirth.

Yes my midwife is encouraging of me staying on the CMP and home birthing - as long as I'm diet controlled and baby isn't looking too big.

Ive been really well in pregnancy. No problems at all till this. I was somewhat expecting it as I'm higher risk given I have PCOS but because I'm slim, healthy , exercise and eat a low GI diet I was hoping to avoid it.

Messes with my plans a bit though

My little princess, 3.86kg was caught at home this morning by her father. The midwife came 30 mins later for the placenta!
It was such a wonderful experience and we are totally in love but finding it hard to decide on a name.
