How long did it take...

Hi everyone
This is my first thread, I am very happy I have found BubHub! Wish I had come across it while I was pregnant with my first!
Anyway, we are going to TTC our 2nd baby next year, just wondering how long it took you to conceive your 2nd, if it was similar to your first or completely different? We were very lucky with our first, and conceived in the first month.

My first we conceived first go. It just took one time of us saying lets do it and next thing I know I was pregnant.

With trying to conceive with my second, I got pregnant after 4 months but unfortunately that ended in a miscarriage and it took another 7 months after that to fall pregnant with DS2.

Very similar, with DS1 we fell first month, with DS2 we did not use contraception (just exclusive breastfeeding) and fell before my first period when he was 5 mths old.

We didn't TTC our first, just kind of happened, but that is a story for another thread.

I am almost 9 weeks pregnant with #2 and we were TTC for 15 months. The longest 15 months of my life!!!

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Yes well I guess you never know until you start trying. I really wanted to get more settled as we're moving house soon and have work lined up etc and last time I got bad morning sickness. if I knew it was going to take 6 months I would start now iykwim.

3 months the 2nd time

3 years for the second

This bub however was conceived when we were trying NOT to get pregnant. If I believed in a god I'd seriously think he was messing with us for his own amusement.

Hmmm...maybe we should have a chat about starting sooner! I bet if we start trying now I'll get pregnant first go, if we start next year it will take over 12 months!
