    Hi and welcome

Well im no doctor, but ceasar is major surgery that you should carefully consider before deciding on electively.

Having said that, you may find it helpful to discuss your concerns with your doctor or midwife and they should be able to give you heaps of info on it too

I can understand your hesitation at another VB tho.

Im sure someone who has had a ceasar could give you some in depth info on the forum, mine was VB so i only know second hand from friends etc...

Theres no right or wrong decision in elective ceasars i think...as long as your choice is informed

What type of birth do you want? explore that option, speak to the appropriate care provider and go from there

I agree with the pp that you should be asking your doctor or midwife. Write down all the questions you want to ask and make sure that the decision you make is best for you and baby.

    Good Luck!

    Hi

Firstly congrats on your bub to be... I too lost quite alot of blood and had blood transfusions and trying to avoid that (if possible) for the next time we have a baby.

The only suggestions i can think of is to get blood test to check for vitamin K defiency and blood clotting (Lupus Anticoag?) as these are signs that massive blood loss may occur again. Atleast then you can rule that out.

You can take vitamin K supplements (from health food store) few months before birth to prepare which i will be doing as i have been tested and apparently no deficent BUT needed 2 or 3 of the injections to stop the bleed.

Do you remember why you bled out? long labor? large baby??
