Default How soon can we try again

    hi ladies

For those of you who had Medical Necessary Terminations how long did you wait to try again?

My partner and I want to try for another baby as soon as we can. I had a D & C One week and 2 days ago and this morning I got my period.

Can we try again next week when I should be ovulating? My doc said yes but the clinic said no.

    What were others advised of?

    I didn't have a D&C and was medically induced.

I can;t remember when I got my period back but we fell pregnant again about 8 months later.

I'd probably wait until at least the next cycle.

i think after you have a D&C, your uterus is supposed to be primed and at it's best for implantation.....i don't know where i heard that, i've had my share of D&Cs...its probably something i heard a long the way. i had an induced labour, followed by two D&Cs and then fell pregnant within two months. i have definitely heard of people falling pregnant immediately.
do you remember why the clinic said to wait a month.?

I have also been told that its the most fertile time.

I can't remember why the clinic said to wait longer as the day is now such a blur.

I think I will listen to what my doc said.

Lashed - firstly big hugs darling, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

I had a d&c at 18 weeks (just over a year ago) and fell just 6 weeks later. I had a healthy baby girl who is now 11 weeks and the ray of light in mine and DH lives.

I found the only thing that helped me to heal emotionally was to get pregnant again. But everyone is different and you may want to take some time, do what feels right for you.

Anyway I'm sending healing vibes to you at this time.

    Una xoxo

Thank you ladies for all your help. I really feel as though I want to try straight away and I think we will do this. I will wait for my first period and we will take it from there.

Back at work today and feeling very hormonal.......blergh!

After my d+c i bled for a week + spotted for another week.
my period came bang on time 33 days after d+c.
i very much doubt its your period hun x
count the d+c as day 1 in a normal cycle, ud ovulate on average 2 weeks after that. then another 2 weeks for your period. most women get their period 4-6 weeks after a d+c, others longer x x

Try again whenever you feel ready hun theres nothing to suggest that trying before period will cause any problems.
after my d+c first period came on time, 2nd period came on time. 3rd period came 2 weeks late! thus proving it can take a few cycles for body to get back into sync x
its totally upto you huni <3 x
