Default what is that popping sound?

that I'm hearing from my bubs? I have heard and felt a couple of pops over the past week (I'm almost 40 weeks). once i was in bed and turned over and 3 loud pops came from my belly. i thought it was my waters breaking as they came one after another but no waters...

anyone know what it is? I don't just hear it, I can feel it so its a descent pop. my initial reaction was bubs doing a great big fart

    Lol @ fart

Could it be your lower back adjusting as bubs moves down? (your already going to see a physio aren't you? maybe ask them?)

I had this with dd at 38 weeks and freaked!!! I talked to my ob and she said it was prob bub moving down and grinding head against pelvis. Sure enough she examined me and bub was well engaged. Gross sound!!

the sound and feel comes from the top of my belly and bubs is no where near engaged, he is still floating about, enjoying himself

Reading your title, I would have assumed it was your waters too (that's what I heard when mine broke). I've never heard it for any other reason. Interesting to think they can make that sound

Hiccups??? DS2 had major hiccups in the last few weeks and it was a definite popping sound!
    So bizarre!

I get hickups A LOT and i always feel it down bellow . maybe its my hind waters? I don't know. I have been getting gradual leaking to a degree where i wear a pad all day now but its not much at all....i figured becasue bubs is not engaged, the leackage would be heavier so it couldn't be my hind waters?

    I might try google again

You know when you crack your knuckles lets say, is the popping the same as that? If it is its the babies joints releasing the gas that gets trapped.

ooh i had that with DS2, more like a flicking sound? like when you flick your nails?

this is like a serious pop, like something breaking or snapping. hmmm maybe i should just put it down to weird pregnancy stuff.
