Unhappy Help! I think I'm going to starve to death!!

I'm getting my wisdom teeth out on Thursday. I have to eat cold mush for 24 hours, and can have warm mush after that. Normally I'd be "yay! Icecream!" (yogurt, milkshakes, custard...)

    BUT
Problem - I'm breastfeeding and DD is dairy intolerant. I'm also diabetic...

I have no idea what to eat!

    So far only ideas are:
    Weetbix
Fruit puree (not too much though because of the sugar)
    Some kind of rice pudding??
    Avacado

Any other ideas? Especially for cold mush?? I'm worried I'll lose my supply what with the limited diet and pain

    Smoothies are a great idea!

Soups and veg I'll do on day 2, but just can't stomach them cold (though ask me again on Friday and I mightv'e changed my mind!)

Not looking forward to it, but better than losing the molars in front (which is what was going to happen )

    Keep the ideas coming!

I would just see how you go, i was told the same thing, but was managing some things fine before I left. I had complicated surgery too and was eating sandwiches before I went home!!!

Just see what you and your body can handle....

same. I had warm soup and was on proper food after a day or so (I was 17 though, and had them out in hospital but I bounce back quickly usually)

I think it depends on what they need to do to remove your teeth as to how long you'll be munching on this soft stuff.

DP got his out, and 3 were impacted and it meant they had to hack right into his jaw to pull them out. More painful than the one that was "normal" and upright (his wisdoms hadn't come through yet either - they were all under hte gums still).

He ate fairly soft foods for about 2 weeks!

You've got to be careful sucking though - so no straws. Can suck out the blood clots or something.

If you're wanting a mousse-type dessert... cocoa, sugar/artificial sweetener and avocado all through the food processor... and there you have some choc mousse! Sounds gross, but it doesn't taste like avo at all!

You should be able to manage white fish fillets, surely? Just grilled fish... you don't need to chew, just move it around in your mouth really. It flakes quite easily most of the time.
I've now lost 36kg thanks to the gastric sleeve!

4 teeth coming out, 2 are impacted (lying sideways and pushing straight into the teeth in front ). Having a GA for it.

Fish should work, I hope. I'm definately going to try that mousse recipe! I could add that one to my usual diet actually, need some things that can amp up my calories (I'm losing weight too fast - doubt I'll get sympathy for that one though ).

Damn teeth! Wish they'd just fall out by themselves or not bother growing...

Great suggestions ladies! Thanks! I don't think I'll starve to death, but hopefully I'll bounce back like Trish and not be on mush for 2 weeks like Sassy's DP
