Default has anyones child got the Kura Reversible bed from Ikea?

    i loooooooovvvveeeee it.

it is so gorgeous and has the bed canopy over the top (bed tent) tits blue with white stars (not dangerous) its up high.

having a hard time convinving DP he said it looks like a peice of cheap cr ap

and it is Reversible so its down low at first, and when they are older its like a single bunk, so lots of room underneath.

didnt know if i could post a link but its on the ikea website.

I want this bed for DS when he is older, I love how you can have it low when they are little and then high when they are ready.

I think the price is quite good too.

yeah the price is decent. ive been thinking... cos DS1 has a race car bed, so i have to get DS2 a special bed also.

only other one i like is a thomas the tank engine bed at toys r us which is $400 then have to buy a matress..

and i think how long is he going to like thomas the tank engine for.

a little boy will grow out of thomas the tank engine before a boy would grow out a car bed.

but the ikea bed is special to. and i really want it for him so DP doesnt get a say lol

My little sister had this bed for the past 6 years and it's now sitting in our spare room waiting for my DS to move into a bed when he is a bit older.

It us a really heavy, solid, sturdy bed and has worn really well. It will probably last my DS into teenage years.

    oh good to hear!!

i think dp is just a bit hesitant of the alan key thing, it comes in a box, put it together yourself "ikea" furniture.

but i really think ds2 will love it

i also found something else on a website which i think is gorgeous

they have sewn a solar system on the inside of the bed tent.

I do think it looks cheap (sorry!) and for $369 i think you could find a much nicer and sturdier bed frame that will last.

i cant just buy a normal bed. DS1 has a racing car bed.

so its a racing car bed, thomas the tank engine bed or the ikea bed. all which are probably cheaply made. owell thats life. i think they look nice and i want my boys to have awesome bedrooms!

and on the ikea websited its $299

and $29.95 for the bed tent. so not to bad.

it looks quite flimsy and really dont think it will last very long. especially with a boy :P
