I agree with Baldies. The relative did the damage, make THEM fix it! Get them to tell Roar they were being silly, and she looks absolutely beautiful in her new undies.

Getting R to come over apologise and tell her she was being silly is a great idea!!!!!! I never thought of that! Thanks AIns!

I know she meant no harm, but has a horrible case of speaking before thinking and definitely does not realise how idolized she is by Roar.. How every little thing she says and does is right and wonderful!

I hope the setback is not long, and I hope I can trust R to apologise without accidentally saying something else than makes it worse or more confusing.

A Peek down the Nappy and proudly declaration of "nup, STILL no penis" is becoming her catch cry.

Instead of attacking them, why not share some of your sun?

I have a thing I do with my DS, when someone makes comments like that about gender etc (unfortunately often DH who speaks before thinking), DS looks at me and I kind of shake my head and roll my eyes as if that person is obviously clueless and DS does it back, in agreement. He loves it, I'm hoping it's something he'll carry on with outside the home, rolling his eyes at peoples ignorance instead of taking on their views.

For this though I'd get the relo to talk to her, and like the trying to squeeze into them yourself thing!
    Me, DH, DS1 (April '06), DS2 (Feb '08), DS3 born sleeping (20/5/10 at 23wks) and DS4 (Oct '11, 33wks and 1205gms)

    - forever grateful for my beautiful family
    - forever missing our little boy

I agree with the suggestion of having the relative come and explain to her that she didn't mean it, and it was a silly thing to say. Maybe you can call relo and explain the 'damage' they did, and get them to bring some brand new jocks round! Hope you get it sorted soon - how frustrating!

That's shocking. I guess I have to throw out Aidans Dorothy the dinosaur undies just in case his willy falls off.

Can you perhaps tell your daughter that that rello said a silly thing and it's not true. Poor kid

I'd be really annoyed with the person who said that. There is very little difference between boy and girl knickers at that age, except for the characters (and I personally think the boy ones are better made). It makes no difference whatever.

But I'm the mother of the little girl who, twenty years ago, trained in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle undies (boys only, of course). Her penis hasn't grown yet.
