    Hi gotabecrazy

Love the post name by the way.

Thanks for your inquiry. Going well to date, although had a bit of a sad day yesterday when I found out that my third emby didn't make it to blastocyst. That said I am hoping like hell that the 6 cell embie has taken off. The scientist reminded me that I had one really good looking emby (6 cell) and not so good looking 2 cell TF so to keep hope.

Otherwise trying every way I can to put protein in my gob and trying to keep the fluids up.

Hope all is well for you. X

    Hey laned,

Hope your 2ww is going well and you've managed to stay warm, happy and stress-free! I've got my blood test on 12th sept, so i'm going through the same thing at the moment.

    Is this your first cycle?

    Hi Indibub

All the best and lots of babydust for you this month. Unfortunately, this is not my first cycle it is my 4th. I have survived week 1 and have my BT scheduled for next Fri.

    Take good care.

Hey ladies, regarding 5day embryos, if you have remaining ones left after fresh ET, how does your embryologist judge if they are viable for freezing? What do your embryologist tell you?

I have two left about transferring two. My embryologist told me if they are not expanded blastocyts on day 6 they will be discarded, so she did. Mine were one at morula and the other at early blastocyst.

Is this what happened to yours too?

    Thanks!

    Hi mum2one

i have only got one frosty. All others have not made it to blastocyst and were deemed non viable and discarded.

It really does one's head in as this is a process of hope and it is hard not to think that maybe just maybe one of them may have made it if given the chance.

    Good luck with your journey.

    Hi Laned,

Precisely my thoughts. I thought they would freeze my early blast but they dumped it. I was really bummed. What if that little fellow was just a bit slow? He/she wasn't even given a chance! Felt unfair.

I just thought I'd chime in with my own 3d vs 5dt experience. I'm currently pregnant with twins after twelve rounds of IVF. This was the first time we'd done a 3dt - every other cycle was 5dt's. There's obviously clear evidence as to why 5dt's are preferable for the most part but in my situation, I can't help but believe I would likely have not got these two embryos to Day Five, given the other 9 I started with failed over that time. If you're struggling with repeat failures, I personally would consider pushing for a 3dt to at least see if it makes a difference.
    JMHO!
