    Hey,

I had my 2 girls at Joondalup Health Campus on the public side. My girls are 2 years and 10 months old.

My first daughter was a long labour, so it was a traumatic birth, I ended up with an emergency c-section. But I really think the hospital saved my daughter's life, she was in special care and well taken care of. My second daughter was an elective c-section, beautiful calm birth, great experience. I also was given a private room for her birth.

Overall I think it's a great hospital, it's not huge so you only share with 1 other person max, it's fairly new.

I'm probably going to King Edward Memorial Hospital next time but only because I want a VBA2C, and Joondalup doesn't do them. Which is a shame because i'd love to go there again.

I had my son there in Feb 09 and loved it, I'll be going back in June for bub # 2... The midwives were amazing in supporting my drug free labour choice, and even though I was quiet I'll during my labour, they did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable.

My only downer on JHC is that they really don't like you giving bub a dummy. Tool ne a while to get them to accept that, but apart from that they were brilliant.

Best of luck with your decision. When are you due?

Ive been going to joondalup hospital as a public patient for my pregnancy...I actually haven't had my little girl yet, however I have been to the ward a couple of times with worries (fluid or pains etc) and the mid wives have been absolutely lovely. The doctors are great aswell I have no complaints so far, and they are letting me attempt a VBAC which is great!
