Salmon question

Hello....

Well I have a question...

When it comes to seafood, I really dont like the stuff. I hate the smell of fish and because of this, wont even try most things. The only 'fish' I eat is flake and thats from the fish and chip shop.

I have had prawns a few times which are ok but im wanting to now try Salmon.

Now, my question is, is salmon overly fishy? I know no one can tell me if I am going to like it but there are soo many recipes out there with salmon that its making me want to maybe try it, lol.

If it tastes/smells anything like Tuna though, its a BIG NO!!!

I don't eat tuna but I will eat salmon. But it has to be red salmon. No where near as strong smelling as tuna. Also fish you catch yourself is much sweeter and less smelly than fish you buy. By the time you buy fish at the market it can be anywhere up to a week old depending on when they bought it and when the fisherman shipped it to market (they have up to three days from the time of catching it to deliver it to market)

YES! I cook salmon at least once a week my 18month old daughter loves it and cooking it inside on the stove has the house smelling like fish for a couple of hours.

It has a very fishy taste and if all you like is flake I would suggest staying away from it. Im not a big fan of fishy fish either and I know salmon is meant to be slightly undercooked at times but when I have it I make sure its very overdone or I cant eat it.

I like salmon cut into cubes and put on skewers and coated in teriaki sauce. I like it well cooked but it is meant to be served under medium.
