    Hi guys

Emma, it's not so much concern about seeing doc through the middle of the cycle (I haven't seen Doc Gayer either, someone else did my EPU & ET) - it's for the next cycle should we get a BFN - something I didn't really think about when starting out. WFC won't let you just 're-do' previous cycle - I need to go back to the doc for a consult again, and in Dr G's case, can't until Sept.

kaz - no PG yet, still just hoping. I don't know if you'd have to wait that long for Dr G each time, her office explained that appts have been backing up b/c she's been away. When I really put the pressure on (ie my age), they managed to squeeze me in earlier in Sep, but that still means missing at least one, if not two cycles. I was able to get into Dr Fong very quickly and just figured that since we know how I'm likely to respond, I'd imagine Dr Fong will probably put me on the same protocol. Dr Gayer is very good and I daresay more experienced than Dr Fong (she's certainly older) - but I guess it depends how long you're okay to wait. If you haven't had any tests etc., you and your DH will need to do all of those with Dr G first. Perhaps you might want to check out Dr F, if you like her, get all your tests and then make your decision if you just want to get started - but keep your appt with Dr G in the meantime.

I don't mean to encourage chopping and changing doctors; I just know how some of us are concerned about the time slipping away !

Sorry, to add Kaz - and don't want to throw out too many ideas - but I understand Dr Smith is a specialist in PCOS and notice you have that in your sig. I'm sure Dr G is also v experienced in that area - the first appt I could get with Dr S was I think about Sept 22.

A word of advice for all the ones waiting to start with first FS appointment & are travelling afar,go to your GP & get all your blood tests, yourself & dh's ,sperm tests & ultrasounds required, done before going there for your appointment, makes it so much easier.Saves going back after the results are all in too.On thier website it stated all the tests required to start.Happy to help with a list if needed by anyone.

Hi all - first up CONGRATS SLP!!!

Dr F told us we won't need to see her again unless we have three failed cycles. Hubby has MFI and I am ok, so maybe this has something to do with it???

I was also a bit upset they won't do back to back stims, because if you then miss a spot in the following month, there'll be three months between each cycle.

Also wondering if anyone will elect to have more than one emby transferred? They won't consider it for me unless we get 'a couple' of BFN's due to our age (26/27) but it is something hubby and I would like to investigate if we don't have success after 3 cycles.

Lilbirdy - I've said it a gazillion times already lol, but I would happily recommend Dr Fong, we found her lovely! Plus with such short timeframes to see her, I would be making an appt a couple of days after your test results are due, and then hopefully you'll be able to cancel it anyway!!

    Hope all is well!

    Great advice!!

We had done all our tests with a previous clinic so were able to take all our results with us, and subsequently were able to sign all the authority forms etc there and then at our first appt!

Thanks Kate !! I have the appt booked for day after BT ie next Thursday with Dr F. She was really lovely during the ET she did for me and even laughed as DH tried to keep things 'light' by cracking his corny jokes. The clinic did tell me today I need to go back to FS after a failed cycle but it was the receptionist, not a nurse. I might call back again with one of my other mundane questions and ask one of the nurses. Dr G's office didn't seem to be fully across the communication between the doc and the clinic (weird). I'm not sure if she'd tweak my doses however because I got some decent numbers, albeit only one embie to transfer in the end.

I also had forgotten about the possibility of missing out on a 'group', has this actually happened to you ? I know they are super busy at WFC, the lovely nurse Chris booked me in for my first cycle so I was a 'definite' - although AF nearly failed me and arrived at 2pm on the Sunday at the END of the week I was booked in - so I got in by the skin of my teeth.

All the extra little things on top don't make this process simple do they ??

But on the good news front, I was really pleased to get my medicare rebate back today - I paid up front so from my outlay of $5030, I got back approx $3850, total OOP under $1,200

Did you have stims during your FET cycle ? I think the idea is you don't go back to back stim cycles.
