b4us- that's terrible! 27 is not young by any means to have children, besides I don't think you need to justify yourselves. Just stick to your guns!

Miffy- Waiting is the hardest part, yay for your sydney trip!! How exciting!!
I have everything crossed for you!

    back again
it has been a tiring ,emotional and interesting few days
Im happy to say I have two embies on board

They are the only two we had fertilise they retrieved 4 eggs out of alot of follicles which was disappointing
the issue could be age Im 41 and also may be they stimmed me too long

Anyway this is such a hard journey Im glad to have a chance
Westmead were great throughout the cycle

Im resting up now as im sooooo tired from the trip

Hope everyone else is going well

    Hi ladies
I lurk in here every now & then as I'm a former patient of WFC.

Miffy, congrats on having the embies on board - all the very best for a BFP.

Question for you - what was your FSH (puregon) dose ? I ask this because I had a couple of cycles at WFC, FSH dosage was maxxed out and I always got lots of follies but not too many embies.

    Hi everyone,
I am thinking about traveling from Vic to westmead as it means we can do a cycle so much sooner.
Miffy glad you have your 2 embies on board, sending fairy dust to help them stick!

If anyone can tell me..... How do you go about having scans and bloods done locally so I only have to travel a few times! Westmead said I could book them locally but where would I go for a scan and how much does it cost?????

Oh I'm so confused!!!!!!! Feeling like the journey is so hard before I'll even get to tx!

Thanks, any help will be really appreciated!

thanks all for the good wishes

I was on 300 puregon for a week then they lowed it to 225 for another 2 days then trigger

jen80 I had bloods and scans at a suburban radiology and pathology you just have to get them to fax results to westmead

my bloods costs around $90 and ultrasounds around $160 not sure yet what rebate will be? You may need to check with costs it can vary

for us the reason we went to westmead as we didnt have the $10000 upfront to cycle in Victoria

We worked out our out of pocket would be $4000 and we came under that to go to westmead including expenses

Jen- We travelled from Brisbane for our first cycle and we have now moved to rural Victoria so will have all our bloods and scans done here.
I've never had to pay for a blood test or scan, the pathologys I've been to all bulk bill. Plus I received money back from westmead because I didn't have my test done with them.

Miffy, How exciting!! When is your blood test? I have everything crossed for you

    Imagine if both stick! Twins!
I want to put two back in but not sure of the risks involved?
