hi ladies i have already heard back from that anesthetist i mentioned earlier and he wants to know if there is even an anesthetist present during the procedure? I thought it was done in the dental centre so does that mean that the RE's or nurses doing the procedure administer the sedation as well or is there actually an anesthetist in the room as well?

andrea, the fertility specialist doing the egg retrieval would administer the sedation and their is an anesthetist (spelling?) nurse there... honestly it is not bad at all, it didnt put me to sleep, i was awake, however I didnt feel pain, and my memory of it is just a bit hazy... i would be more worried about having a general anesthetic than the sedation....

Andrea- I was worried as I am terrible on anesthetic. I felt it go down my arm & then I woke up in recovery. No problem..I was relaxed tho.

    hi ladies,
well I finally got my positive opk yesterday so on the bd mission
but.... got my blood tests back yesterday and everything was normaly except one thing...my AMH...it was...wait for it... 114.5 thats right 114.5 the reference for normal range is 14-30 and i am at 114.5 so kinda freaking out right now as that put s me in definite pcos category and also high risk for OHSS. Any of you girls get really high AMH numbers like this?????

Hope all of you guys are doing well.

I've had to have ANOTHER day off work, up all night with pain and bloating. I'm drinking a gallon of water, peppermint tea & gatorade, and having no trouble peeing, so I doubt it's OHSS. It feels like really bad trapped wind/gas, and that pain on top of everything else sore from EPU is just killing me.

Any other suggestions to relieve the bloaty gas pains? I'm on a tablet the pharmacist gave me (safe for preggo women, so I'm sure safe for this too) called 'De-Gas' (haha, gross, eh?) but wondering if there are any other tricks.

Also, anyone who's had 5 day transfers before.. do you get an update on your embies before then? I'm nervous that none of ours will get to blast stage, so wondering if I should be expecting a call or text tomorrow (Day 3) to let me know.

MrsJaguar - oh you poor thing!! Sounds awful. I often get really bad wind pains and hubby bought me that de-gas stuff. He thinks it's hilarious and is always asking me if I need some, haha. I find that drinking water helps, which you are already doing! But I also find that lying on my tummy but propped up on my elbows (so your tummy is pushing down and back is in an arch) for awhile helps too. I know it sounds silly but for me it helps "push" the wind out and I always feel so much better.

Update - Jeannie just jogged my memory. I did get the same text as her below

MTC - how did you go??? Thinking of you lovely x

    Hi Mrs Jag,

You poor thing, Awww I soooooo remember that pain!! I sat on the floor of the shower (Hot) and found a wheat pillow on my tummy also helped a bit.

Regarding your fertilised eggs, my 2 fresh transfers were day 5 and I received a text on the 3rd day (today for you) saying "Your embryos are growing and on track for transfer, you should have started your crinone gel yesterday"

    Hi Y’all,

Sharlein – Hope transfer has / is going well – It only takes one – Everything is crossed that this is it. Xxx

Lily – I just picked my time and did it at night – that way I didn’t have to be up early on the weekend to do it or do it at work but then I did have to do it on the go if I went out – but that wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be – only a few strange stares while sitting at the speedway lol.

MTC – How did you go this morning?? I so so hope it is that +!! I am sooooo relieved that I have fnally made a decision and resigned!!! I think I will be less stressed and that what I’m looking for going into cycle #3!!

Lynlee – I hope you heard from FS yesterday and are feeling ok today. Xx

Andrea – Yay for +OPK.. the fun can start now.. I have PCOS and I think my AMH was high.. but I don’t remember exact figures.

Mrsjag – I hate that bloaty feeling – I rub my belly like a buddah!! Haha that’s what my mum always did with us and it seems to get it to move. I was supposed to have a day 3 – but they called that day and pushed it out to day 5. I’m pretty sure they always check them day 3 and let you know and then leave them until day of transfer.

AFM - I am like super duper excited today - I think the reality of not coming back to this job in a couple of weeks has kicked in - its also making me kind of lazy though --- oops.. I am booked in for a new tattoo on Friday night so I am hyper about that and I just want it to be next Wednesday already!!
