Hi all, great news my 12 week scan went great! Bub perfect, hands, feet, legs, arms, stomach etc! Heart beat 160 bpm and measures 6 cm's. This sonographer measures the bubs at 12 weeks so birth date has gone back to 28th Jan. NT scan has come back as low risk. Hooray. I'm slowly going to tell people cos not quite 13 weeks yet. And apparently the doc says at 15 weeks they fall again, so I'll tell a few close colleagues and if people ask I won't lie!

Shadow angel if you go through my posts you can see what tests I did at what dates, but basically I saw a specialist in miscarriage and he tested my hcg twice a week until 8 weeks, and I had scans at six, eight, ten and twelve, and sneaked one in with my news obs at 11 weeks. I also read a book called the power of Now to help me just focus on each day, and getting through it. Also distracted myself if I had bad thoughts, tried to relax, and not planned ahead. But I was really worried and it wasn't pleasant, but we got through it and you will too.

    Hi Ladies,

I am new to this forum - I was over in the TTC#1 First timers thread.

About me - been married to DH for one year in June. We started TTC immediately. I had a MC at 6 weeks in October that then required a D&C. We started trying again and I fell pregnant last month in June. I had another MC on the 9th of last month at 5 weeks. Then two days ago I have found out that I am pregnant again. Have not even had first AF after the miscarriage..... fingers crossed that this wont matter. I can't believe that we fell so quickly after... I had a blood test Wednesday and had a HCG level of 240, then had another today and am over 600. They were hoping for a double so I think that this is a great result...

So.....having only MC for the 2nd time last month, I am sooo nervous about this pg. Every little twinge I am paranoid about. I was just hoping that any of you may have a positive story for me to hear about people that have carried to full term after two MC or even a full term bub straight after MC without even an AF....

I am really scared and know that some of you would have felt like this also.

    Thanks

Shadowangel - was just reading through your posts and I can let you know what is going on for me though am very early days.

I am seeing a midwife through an Early Pregnancy Service at the local hospital. Knowing my history of 2 MC they are going to check my hcg levels every two days. I had one Wednesday, one Today, will have another Monday, just to check that they are doubling at least. She also wants me to have a scan on Friday of next week. Due to my MC last month and no AF they can't tell me how many weeks I am. She said I could be between 2 and 5 weeks. Though even I am not an expert and could tell that I am not 2 weeks!!!! Why would I have a hcg level and show up on a HPT at two weeks. Anyway I am happy about the scan next friday.

As I posted above I am so nervous about small cramps though and hope that with no bleeding the small cramps are normal

Good luck I am so glad that I found this thread.

I had two miscarriages and just had my successful 12 week scan, and yes I was very stressed like you, but as each day went past it got a little bit easier especially after successful results. I live in sydney so I was lucky I had access to good doctors.

Thanx for the feedback addison, and welcome to the thread! CONGRATULATIONS!! They are awesome levels! How are u feeling?

AFM - Have decided to start a word document for this bubba. Everything ud normally put in a baby book and then some. Im going to note everything that comes to mind - from my strange craving of dim sims, to everyone close's reactions as they gradually are told, first US Date, HPT date, DR confirmed date, EDD, Heart rate at US, what everyone THINKS im having etc.. Try to give me something positive to focus on. Ill then decide if i want to scrap book a baby book, or buy one.

Hi girls, welcome to thread Addison. Lucky congrats on a good scan. Supermum just wanted to hop on and say not to worry I didn't hv extra scans/bloods anything. I did get a 7 wk scan but since thn just was routine til the 10wk bloods (for downs risk) and 12 wk scan (also for downs). Other thn tht my doctor was there if I needed her but just let me be. I used to read about everyone else hving extra scans and feel quite envious but then wt how much we all stress in the lead up to a scan maybe it just wld hv made me worse! I know someone asked about coping wt stress levels, we told no one til after our first scan when we saw a good hb, then only immediate family and we found the less we had to talk about it the better we coped! A bit like sticking ur head in the sand I know but it was a very stressful time. Not tht not telling people wld make loss any easier to deal with but people say the wrong things without meaning to and it used to stress me out too much! I went for acupuncture every two weeks which also helped a lot wt coping wt stress.

Sorry posting on my phone so can't remember much, just thrt I wld hop on and add my two cents.

    Night ladies,

    Em
    Xxx

Supermum- I only got watched closely coz I felt I needed the reassurance!! Otherwise ob would havebeen happy with just letting me go along. But since my mc was missed and I had no idea the whole 'no cramps no blood everything fine' theory didn't really relax me.
