so sorry to hear ur news lealove theres nothing much anyone can say to make u feel better, all i can offer u is support and best wishes. I personally had a natural missed mc (i was 8wks bub 5w3d) and it was hard, but strangely I found comfort in the pains (im weird) i just couldnt process someone actually removing it...

Not good to hear about ur cervic fireflys, i hope the doctors sort it out and no worries about ur work, atm what matters is u and ur bubs.

AFM - still feeling green and loving EVERY minuite of it! I got in to see a doc today after calling the surgery and explaining about the meds, he sent me for a blood test because he didnt believe i could be pg at exactally 4wks till i showed him my HPT!! lol (old dr - if u havent yet "missed" ur period - ur not pregnant. but in saying that he is very thorogh also) Not sure yet if ill stick with him or change to the GP/OB at the clinic....but not going back to my other one i saw last time, very vague and undecisive. Even THIS GP couldnt understnad why i was on diaformin because im NOT a diabetic.

this is pretty much how i felt. the first u/s dampened this a little. I still feel a bit funny about it all. happy fo course that, at this stage, everything seems ok, but still there's some inhibition/self protection in feeling going on. it's a strange feeling.

Well I don't have good news... Had my scan and bubs didn't have a heartbeat. Exactly the same as last time, complete missed miscarriage. I knew something was wrong, call it mothers intuition. After lengthy discussions with the sonographer she said everything looks perfect just the bub didn't grow. Last time bub got to 9 weeks, this time 7 weeks. When I went in for my scan at 7 weeks the baby measured a week behind so I wasn't hopeful, I knew for sure when I ovulated.

So now I have another sh*tty few months ahead of us! Do I miscarry naturally or have a D&C? The next big question... Seeing the doctor this afternoon to see if they will investigate. The fact that circumstances are exactly the same both times means something has to be wrong. Any advice out there?

Sorry to be bringing crap news, just heart broken right now...
Dear Lealalove-I am so sorry that this has happened to you… it’s just not fair! I too have the issue that my babies pass on at 5wks but I don’t M/C till 8 wks naturally when AF is due. Please ask your Ob to run some tests.
My Bub this time (didn’t get any u/s the other times) was only 5ws 3day and I knew I was 7 weeks at that time … I kept going over the dates trying to convince myself that I had it wrong… but like you said mother intuition - I had also lost all the symptoms not that they were never that strong.
Please allow yourself to grieve and be kind to yourself – what ever course you chose, d & c or natural m/c my thoughts are with u. In time may be we can TTC together? As we were so close last time. Sorry not that you are thinking about it yet… a trait of mine is to always race ahead, I am an eternal optimist! My thoughts are with you and your Family.xxx

    Hiya girls

Hope all the preggy mums are travelling well and the girls who have lost another precious angel are taking care of themselves

AFM I am gradually getting things done for the big day, probably not fast enough really. I'm trying to suppress the urge to panic but I sometimes feel like I have no idea what the hell I'm doing!!! Had another check-up yesterday. The doc is very happy with baby's growth and how everything is progressing. We talked about labour and delivery and she has a great attitude about trying natural pain relief methods and movement and positioning before considering drugs, so I'm happy we seem to be on the same page there. Just over 5 weeks to go.....!!!

wow BB its so close!! Glad to hear its all great news...

Hi everyone! hope ur all travelling along well!

AFM - seen doc again today, gave me a referal to an OBGYN, not sure which 1 i want yet, although ive booked in with 1, i think i will change. We live in a country town and he advised against using the local hospital as theres a very high chance when i go into labour there will be 1: no OB to deliver, 2: no anaethatist in case of needing 1 and 3: NO midwives! and any or all can happen and would result in being sent an hr away to a choice of 3.

Hi all - just popped in check how you are all doing.

lealove - I'm so sorry to hear your news, big hugs to you.

Em - I've got a city elite jogger and love it!! I go out running everyday and it's fantastic. It's quite big so we also have a slivercross pram for the shops. We also got a capsule as we feel they are much safer than the seats that fully convert. Hope this all helps!

BB - yaya for being so close, I also tried all the nature stuff before using the drugs. Have you looked into a TENS machine? I used one and it made a massive difference and only ended up using a shot of pethaden , didn't even have the gas and air, which surprised the hell out of me! Considering I was so scared of the pain and the whole birth thing! Anyway I'm sure you'll do fine, can't wait till you join the next thread!

Too everyone else hugs and belly rubs.

    Take care

    Úna xoxo
