I don't really boycott anything. I have preferred brands but I don't go out of my way to avoid certain ones. We don't have the money to be picky, and being in a small country town doesn't help. We just buy whatever we can afford out of what is available.
Although reading through the previous posts will help sway my decision if I have a choice of more than one brand/shop/product. Thank you for the info everyone

that sounds awful! i hate poor customer service, its like if i want your opinion i will ask for it. anyway, i boycott KFC cos of the animal cruelty. Apparently they are squashed together until their wings are broken and their legs crushed. readmore here:http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/
I don't really boycott any specific companies (i guess indirectly i do but i'm more focused on finding ethical companies to buy from than focusing on the ones who aren't) but I use cruelty free & (& vegan where possible) cosmetics, health & beauty products and household cleaners. I purchase only organic meats from a certified organic butcher (I don't trust anything labeled organic or free range from the big supermarkets) and buy my eggs from a friend with beautiful free ranging rare breed chooks & ducks. I try to grow as much of my own fruit & veg as I can & swap with other gardening friends & family.
As a result I almost never eat out. Maybe once every 2 months which is kind of boring because I am a chef (at a health retreat) & avid foodie.
I try not to buy over packaged anything too. Nothing miffs me off more than a small electronic item (like a phone or remote control) wrapped in 15 layers of plastic, cardboard & styrofoam for no reason at all.
I also boycott buying pets from pet shops or home breeders but not only them I boycott the RSPCA. I know it's a controversial one, but they receive millions of donations yet they refuse to provide sick or injured animals medical treatment. They would rather kill than treat. They also refuse to train, they disgust me and I cannot tolerate the perception in the community that they are saving animals.
Adopt from a no kill shelter or animal rescue agency. These are the people that are saving animals. Google RSPCA kill rates and read for yourself.
Arli I agree, I have read some very disturbing articles on the RSPCA
I used to work at KFC and the chicken was all brought in in pieces from Ingams.. Don't know if all stores are the same but ours weren't cooked whole
