Chances are that when you look into most large companies you can find unsavoury practices.

    Nestle: unethical practice

La Porchetta: the owner was a rapist and a bully (he's dead now)

Gloria Jeans is a big one for me but mainly because they don't use proper cups and plates. It's all plastic rubbish, I try go to cafe's that I can sit down and not have to throw my plate, knife, fork and cup away.

I try not to use Nestle but I do fail sometimes. I'm not perfect but I try. I also don't buy chicken or eggs that aren't free range and organic.

I won't buy any Mem Fox books as a while ago she made a statement along the lines of working parents who send their babies/toddlers to childcare are abusing them. As a working parent she is more than welcome to come and pay my mortgage so that I can stay at home with DS. Also, I find this incredibly insulting to childcare workers.

Hmm I don't see how it is any of her business, she is an author not a developmental psychologist and even if she were and had evidence to support it, that's a rude way to say it. Fair call, Bec.

and i try to avoid products containing palm oil where i can.
