Hi Ladies, so sorry to hear of your losses and pain, its just heartbreaking
I wish you all the luck for healthy pregnancies in the future.

Well, just to update you, my little frostie did implant and in the right place this time and I am now nearly 12 weeks along. My ob is confident I will make it to 38/39 weeks and then have a caesarean as labour is to risky after the surgery on my uterus. I cannot believe it, it was my last hope as my specialist would not consent to anymore IVF treatment but agreed to transfer my last frostie. I have been terribly sick with MS ending up at the ED a few times but its all worth it.
I look forward to hearing from you all with stories of your pregnancies

Hi - im so very sorry for all your losses. I as well last june went in to have an ectopic removed. I was in no pain it was found during a dating scan. ( i was 8 weeks) i got admitted to have the injection but as my levels were still doubling they took me into surgery the next day. I also ruptured just as i was in surgery - lost my right tube and ovary ( and baby ) My left tube tore as they were removing the right so i was bleeding out on the table so they made the decision to clamp my tube in 2 places. I really wished they had just taken everything out. I am still grieving the loss of my baby and also my fertility. Does it get easier? I still have bad days where i just want to cry. I see a baby or a pregnant woman and think that SHOULD be me. I have had 2 normal pregnancies and just dont understand why this one was different. I dont think my DF quite gets my feeling on our loss and my loss. I dont feel like a whole woman anymore - i feel broken as all my womanly bits are just there to cause me pain and discomort. I wanted the option to have more children and i chose to have more but i feel now that decision was taken away from me. I know they did it to save my life but i still feel like it wasnt there decision to make. Does that make any sense.?????

Correct is wrong tubes have gone rest is still their, IVF is an option without any other problems success rates should be very high

i also had an ectopic and was treated medically which was hard enough if you want another baby don't let this stop you find a way of getting strong and make it happen

IVF isnt really an option for us. Money wise we couldnt afford it - and i dont think i could go through another loss again mentally. I must admit i am very lucky that i have 2 beautiful children and a great DSS but still i wanted my baby

Yes but I know that some days that just doesn't cut it not sure what area you are in but we went to a support group called sands it helped a lot

i would also research ivf and find out exactly how much etc you never know it could not be as costly as you think

I went to my gyno who also performed the surgery when i had my mirena put in a couple of weeks ago. He is also a FS. I did speak briefly to him about it but also made the decision not to go down that road. I am finding it hard to come to terms with this loss i dont know how i would handle another one ( things may change nothing is set in concrete i guess)

i have a mirena as have tubes and apparently nothing wrong with fertility even though had DD2 with IVF
maybe a have the wrong end of the stick but if IVF is the only option for conception why in need of a mirena or for other reason

the way I looked at my ectopic was that it just landed in the wrong place if in the right place then would not have been a loss that is how I was able to TTC again without the fear of it happening again

anyhow like you said its not set in concrete and its still very early days

Mirena for me is for extremely heavy periods. I go through a pack of maternity pads a day for the first 4 days and pass massive clots and a box of nurofen plus. I have had 3 - the first 2 for periods and contraception and this one for periods.

My little egg got fertilized right near the ovary so when it ruptured they took the ovary as well... The doctor did say to me he didnt know how i got pregnant because the tube was blocked and that is why it ended up with an ectopic. Its funny i went though all the tests to make sure i was healthy to start TTC and the only thing i didnt have was an ultrasound to check the important parts.

Yep those things also make my very angry as well, its always the people that do everything right and the ones that don't seem to have a very easy life

a hope things get easier for you really soon check out some counselling sessions for both you and DH they say they don't need it but it helps you both to talk
