DD is 6 months and Im about to start her on solids. This may be a silly question but do I need to start her on solids now? She's sleeping through, gaining weight well (she's almost 9kgs), happy inquisitive baby etc. Im just thinking if it isnt broke dont fix it...
What did you give your baby first and why?
Also this whole puree thing- what do you think? Im tempted not to puree DD's food like I did with DS... maybe just mash and then thin out with breastmilk. Would that work?

If she is not showing any signs of being interested, I wouldnt worry yet.
She is getting everyting she needs from the b/milk for a while longer yet
If you dont want to puree, have you looked in to baby led weaning>?!?! We are doing it with DD and its fab. there are a few threads around and do a google search, its great!!!Me
