He's pretty good at chipping in but he is also super messy. And makes out like he has saved the world by doing the dishes lol. I'm happy anyway as it is a lot better than when he used to do nothing
So happy with little Xavier 12/5/11

Not particularly, no. His stance is he works outside the home. I'm happy to do most the housework but I'm am trying to get him to understand though that PARENTING duties need to be 50/50.

DH and I both work 45 hours week on different rosters (me normal full time, him 4 on/3 off). By some people's logic, neither of us should have to lift a finger once we get home

We have a division of labour at home that we naturally fell into, and which works for us.

I do everything for DD in the morning, I do Kindy drop off and pick ups, he cooks dinner.

He looks after outside and cars, me inside.

We share washing. If the load is done, whoever is free will hang it out. I always tend to fold and put in away though.

I generally bath and get DD ready for bed while he cooks dinner. I wash up.

We take shifts at the gym 4 x per week. We take turns at a weekend sleep in.

I can't remember ever fighting over domestic chores.
Very envious.. You guys seem to have it all sorted :-)

My hubby is amazing my hubby cooks every night as I hate cooking, he will often do washing and clean house for me on his days off so that I can spend time with my daughter on my days off.

No I do everything raise the kids and do all the housework as he doesn't think I work since I bring no money in. He is a shift worker but on his days off he just sits in front of the TV and moans if the kids distract him

Not really, he does feed his dog and take out the bins, sometimes he even helps fill the bins! He also does the lawns but he waits until its a jungle and then does them. I'm over it, time to do something. Any suggestions?

    Default Helping hand

I am very lucky that my hubby helps me. We have 3 under 3.5 so very busy. We take it in turns on cooking dinner and sorting kids out at night. I do most of the household cleaning and organisation but hubby happy to pick up a broom or do a load of washing if i need a hand. He does have lazy days but then again so i do i!
