Default Does your hubby/partner help around the house?

Does your partner help around the house with the housework and the kids - or does he think that watching sport on TV is help enough?

Yes, we have a really fair division of labour here. He cleans the house, I do the laundry. I cook, he does the dishes. We do our own ironing.

i voted 'other'- he doesn't 'help', he cleans up after himself. He does live here too i find this question a bit like the "does your partner babysit the kids" question. Um, hello, there's 2 of you living in the house, 2 of you with kids.

Soo..... not "helping" but doing his bit

Yep we are half and half in housework (though he occasionally does more) and never groans about it or expects me to do it all

good point!! I voted yes willingly and competantly but we both work full time so there is a reasonably even distribution of jobs but I change my mind after reading your comment.

I have a friend whose husband constantly says things like "I can't do xyz cos I have to babysit the kids" and iritates me to no end. Urm no, you are simply taking responsibilty and doing your fatherly duties.

If DF sees something that needs doing he will do it.

Yes, even though he doesn't live here anymore he will still do the whipper snipping for me and any other odd handyman job I ask him to do
