    Default Ab-Roller

DF bought me a new ab roller yesterday, one that counts the calories burnt, the amount u've done and also has a timer.

Just wondering if anyone else has used an ab roller for a decent amount of time (all my friends used it for a week and got bored!) and had any noticable results (im talking 2-3months down the track)????

I bought an ab-roller a few years ago - just a simple one.

When my DF went to East Timor, i decided I wanted to look really good for him when he came home (hoping he wouldnt leave again - she says this a month before he deploys again lol). Anyway, I used it every night & I had a nice tummy - I didnt have defined abs or anything but it was flat & quite tight. I'd say you have to do more than normal sit-ups but normal sit ups hurt my neck so much where the ab-roller makes working out quite comfortable. I definatley had results within a month of using it nearly every day for prob about half an hour a day (not going solid for half an hour, 5 mins here and there throughout the evening.

    Hope this helps

I've never used one...but I remember reading a while back that any sort of sit-up type movement doesn't make you lose weight...just tones up your stomach muscles underneath your layer of fat.

So, depends on what you want out of it I guess...if you want to tighten up your stomach muscles...then it'll probably work fabulously...but if you want to lose your tummy flab, it's probably not the best (Cardio is the best option for weightloss).
I've now lost 36kg thanks to the gastric sleeve!

Good point, Sassymumm. I should have added that I didnt really need to lose weight - just tone up.

Oh no I don't need to lose weight, just tone up. I used to have a great set of abs and now they r no existant. I've been doing sit ups every night for the past week and using my ab roller since I got it and already I feel the tightness returning to my stomach! I love it !
