    I wouldn't.

I'd tell my immediate family. If it was MY ticket that is. I would tell my mum, my dad, my brother - thats it.

There are specific family members on my side I wouldn't want to have that information, so i'd not tell anyone.

I think then if anyone commented on our improved lifestyle, like a friend, I'd be happy to lie and tell them DP has gotten a new job or something. I mean, it would be true, he wouldn't stay in the job he's in that he hates if we had won lotto, he's looking for a new job as it is, so I would... errrm... tell them a misleading, but true, fact

    As for my inlaws...

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I dunno, honestly, I'd tell DP he absolutely cannot tell his family about the winning. He's welcome to help his parents buy a house, and tell them that we'd made a good investment (not a complete lie, invested in a ticket

But I wouldn't want it to change anything.

I'd want it to not be a big deal.

I'd want it to make our lives easier and not risk it changing how people veiw us...I'd hate to have family and friends look at us with $$$ in their eyes.

I would tell close family and friends but not the full amount, say if i won 1mil id say i won $200,000ish.

So i could buy an investment property and stuff and some gifts without being suss, but they wouldn't know how much i have sitting in the bank.

I would keep the exact amount a secret but I wouldn't be shy about telling people. Only because I am not the sort of person who could have it all while my frineds and family are suffering. I would have to share.

    I like that ideal.

Or tell people, but not disclose the amount. If they ask directly, say "not a lot.." "oh.. enough" "it wasn't a full jackpot" or something vague.

Old thread I know, not sure if I could keep 100M quiet though! I'd know who the cockroaches were so I think I would safely tell

QUOTE=prjn;4776880]i wouldn't tell a soul...in fact i've even told dh that if he comes home one day and finds me not here then i've won lotto and buggered off and that i'll send for him later [/QUOTE]

This made me lol, hubby is away and I joked to him if he came home and found me gone he would know we won lotto...
