Hi Gabriela,
I will be thinking of getting pregnant within the next 12 months. I am a fit and healthy 29 year old. I have been on the pill for about 13 years and was first put on it as my periods were irregular. I thought it may be good to go off the pill to chart my cycle (even though I am scared to know what will happen eg if it will come back and will it be regular or irregular). However one doctor HIGHLY advised me to not go off it as she stated that the month after going off the pill will be a time when I am most fertile and will have a good chance of getting pregnant. However if this doesn't happen then I may need to wait for a long period of time to get my cycle back to normal. I am stuck with people telling me to stay on it and only go off the pill when I want to fall pregnant. While others are telling me to go off it now. One doctor has said I may have PCOS, but they said they weren't sure and wont know until I start trying as I don't show signs of having it except for irregular periods. I also have a mild case of Chrones disease.
Can you please advise me if I should stay on the pill so I have the chance of that first month, or do I go off it now??
Tulipss
