Well visit to FS this afternoon proved to be as expected: BT results in - all normal- my FTMHR test showed i carried 1 gene related to clotting - but that's why i have been on aspirin & clexane since chem pg last FEB, but everything else were negative for abnormalities- which on one hand is great- because i don't have some crazy blood disorder, but still leaves the questions unanswered.
Had Biopsy and not as horrible as i expected but still pretty ouch and uncomfortable.
So plan update is: Get Biopsy results if show
+ for NK cells treat for that with pred. if negative then treatment will be for - implantion issues/failure of retention & incompetent uterus. I also have to have tubes flushed - fun .
Discussed the drop in BBT and how this could be related to progesterone levels- aparently the pg level would have shown low on the first BT given the BBT drop was day after BT- apparently Prog drops 2-3 days before HCG shows drop.but we will up prog support
PGD testing FS doesnt think is necessary - basically at the blastocyst/day 6 stage it is the female chromosomes that are the most likely to cause an abnormality and given ED's DNA tests were all good and DH's last DNA test also showed no sign of any issues that would have any effect at this stage of development.
the other unfortunate thing that my research didn't show, is that doing PGD on frozen blast they thaw it - take cells - results take 48hrs so embie has to be refrozen. FS doesn't believe the risk in corrupting the embie by having 2 thaws isn't worth the risk when there are no indicators that this is an issue.
    I think that covers everything.

Have a great weekend ladies and take care

MELK - Wow thats alot to take in. So you still have the clotting issue which is covered anyway. And shes upping prog support which is always a good thing. So what is the treatment exactly she plans for implantation failure/incompetent uterus? Is it to do with giving you a better lining ? Tubes flushed sounds a bit yucky but worth it it makes sense. I dont think PGD is 100% picking up everything anyway and if its a risk and really added expense and not really necessary then why do it.

When will they have the results from your biopsy? so does it hurt are you out of action for a few days? i was hoping since no incision it wouldnt be so bad ? I hope your ok and not too sore.

do you feel better about things a bit now? a bit more hopeful? I hope so! I guess your still waiting on your biopsy result.

im still really confident at least one of those embies of yours has what it takes!

Hey gardenia & GG I was surprised that it didn't hurt as much as I thought- she gave me 2 local anesthetic injections in my inner vaginal area where the nerve endings are mor sensitive so until she actually started gathering uterine fragments by rubbing - what I can only describe as a cheese grater ( sorry ) it didn't hurt . It was seriously uncomfortable but not as bad as I was anticipating. Fs gave me some nurofen and have felt fine since, FS didn't give me Any special care things except no BD for 72 hrs poor Dh. I will however milk it with DH for as long as possible but really feel fine.
Hopefully results back in 3 weeks . Tube flush thingy in 2 weeks .
I do feel more confident that it has be something tangible . Fs did make an interesting comment about pred the drug they give you if you have nk cells - she said it was considered very experimental and she would only use it if absolutely necessary - I was like I know a handful of gals who have used it and have had great results. So feeling hopeful . M xx

OL sorry bout the cheese grater but it really is the closest thing I can imagine. Dh was so grossed out when FS actually went out to him in the waiting room whilst I was having a liitlr lie down after the fact and showed him the globules of cells she had grated off - I would have loved to have seen his face. - his comment was Reese I just the insides of your uterus!! Poor man .
    Hugs hugs and more hugs

Ouch Mel, I had the same sort of test but as part of my lap etc. When I woke up my FS showed my colour pictures of where he had cut away 2 biopsy patches. Ewwww. I wasn't ready to see that!

It sounds like your FS is really switched on & proactive. I can't wait until your next transfer. Heaps of healing luck Mel.
