Default Mel and Vee's egg donation journey one DD and one on the way!!

Well here we are, our very first donor cycle is underway... Feels like it's happened so quickly, it also feels like we have been waiting for this moment forever.

We have been blessed with the most wonderful Donor - Vee (V8) . We have spent the last 4 months getting everything sorted and now the time we have all been waiting for has arrved.

This will be a journey in 2 parts-
    P1: Veronica's cycle

Then i have to go away for 3 weeks in june and didn't want to risk andything so waiting for ET.

    P2:My FET Mid July

We are currently on D2 of Vee's cycle.
We were surprised to be on our way this week.
I dropped her stash of drugs off on Wednesday with the expectation that Af would arrive sometime next week . I think it got over excited with the prospect of getting started as yesterday i got the call from Vee to say it had arrived

Vee starts her synarel sniffing today and jabbing puregon from tomorrow.
First scan will be next Thursday.

    I can't believe we have started !!

    Yay!

I can't believe the timing either, was quite funny

Have booked and organised my first scan for next week. Started my first synarel spray today, and tomorrow i start the puregon injections. Fingers crossed everything is on track when we go for the scan and then not long after that is EPU.

For anyone considering being a donor it seems overwhelming at first, but once you get to this stage, it's so worth it, and it really hasn't been stressful at all. I'm lucky my recipient the lovely Mel is so great helping out with the kids while i'm at appts etc and we've been able to share this experience together which has made the whole thing much less scary

Looking forward to the next step in the journey and will be hanging out till July to see how it all went

Thank you all for your amazing support.

I have a good feeling that Vee & I ( & DH as his role is pretty important) will make a pretty awesome team.

GG I have to say it is great to know someone else over here going through this too.. this it for the both of us.

Well just did my very first injection, was a wee bit nervous about injecting myself as it's kinda strange! But it went fine, the puregon pen is very easy to use, didn't hurt at all going in. Slightly tender in that spot but nothing terrible. Feel like i've accomplished something though already, just on the countdown now to scan day on Thursday to hope that the little eggies are growing.

    for first injection.
It is weird i woke this morning thinking right injections start today and then went hang on it's not me doing it. It is the weirdest feeling knowing that we are "doing a cycle" yet you're the one doing it - not that i'm missing the sniffing and jabbing part of it
