Default Problem with DD's 2nd birthday, any suggestions?

Ok so mt DD's 2nd birthday is still 6 months away. But it has dawned on me that I want to have a party for her but dont have anyone to invite

we are new to where we live we have zero friends or family here they are all interstate. I am about to have my second bub and with DH at work 12 hrs per day I will be trying to cope with 2 under 2 alone, so going out to playgroups social things etc to try to find playmates for her just isnt going to happen at all. I think I will be lucky to get my hair brushed and out of PJ's in the upcoming next 6 months, lol.

She does go to daycare once per week for social interaction, but I have never met any of those kids parents so dont feel its appropriate to invite those kids when the parents dont know me at all, and its a very small town, clicky people etc.

So what should I do? I know she is only turning 2, but it was the same last year for her 1st birthday - nobody to share it with. It breaks my heart.

Oh we would love to come but we are a little far away.

Maybe over the next few months try and plan a play date with some of the kids from daycare. Ask the staff who she likes to play with and approach their mum/dad..

    Good luck

The way I see it you either invite daycare kids or don't have a party. Lots of people don't bother with a 2nd birthday party so don't worry too much. By the time she turns 3 you will be sure to know who to invite.

Have a little family party! You and DH & new bub and DD all dress up with party hats, take photos and eat cake. DS could not have cared less that he had a party, all it was for him was getting to eat food Mummy wouldn't let him eat normally and a whole lot of scary people (that would be my extended family) around who sing loudly and poke faces at him
2nd birthdays aren't what they're cracked up to be!!
