Default Shoe size for a 1 year old

What size shoes does your 1 year old wear? I had my little man's feet measured yesterday and he's a size 6 - and we have to get New Balance shoes as he has wide feet like his father.

    Is that big or normal?

How many months is he? I think DS was a 6 for his first pair of shoes at 11 mths, he is a 9 now at 20 mths. He has extremely wide feet. They honestly look like hobbit feet.

He's 13 months. lol to the hobbit feet, sounds like DS's. I litereally tried to cram on every shoe I could find before giving up and going to Athlete's foot to get him fitted.

Size 3 all round at 11.2 months. Long skinny feet just like their dad.

Jake was wearing a 7 1/2 around twelve months. But I think he has enormous feet.

6 sounds pretty standard to me, but I just thought I'd say that it's said to be better for their feet to keep them barefoot (or socks) for quite away to help the natural development of the foot

Wow, my DD's feet sound tiny in comparison. 1 year she was only just in a Size 3, and is 2 and only just hit a size 5. I had problems that she was still in pre-walker sizes and was walking since 9 1/2 months.
