Default Dont you ever wonder what you deserved to have something so precious

I look at my DD and think that I am so blessed to have her. Although I still look at her and sometimes dont believe she is mine, how did I deserve to something so precious. Its so amazing to see this little face stare back at me, smile, giggle and coo. Sometimes during her feed she stops eating and turns her little head to face me as if she is thanking me and saying "how did you know I was hungry?". She is always smiling and so happy (except for her 9:00pm unsettled hour). She even smiles while she is falling asleep.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I'm just awestruck by this beautiful new little person I have. And I love it when they fall asleep smiling. DS's latest thing is to laugh as he falls asleep. He's never laughed when awake, mind you, but he'll laugh falling asleep.

It really is amazing isn't it.

i do question why coop was given to me when i had him. i see all children as a gift and i do wonder what his purpose for me is. i may not be the best mum at times but he is here for a reason.
i cross all bridges with joy and ease.

I often wonder how I got such an awsome kid, and sometimes overwealmed and....scared? that I have been entrusted with such a precious soul- like I'm holding the most valuable gem in the world and it's my job to protect it and make sure it keeps growing and shining all the way through.

I wonder this all the time, even when DS is being a terror and I want to pull my hair out He just has this way about him, sure his Autism has meant our lives have taken a slightly different direction than I wanted for us but that's the beauty of life isn't it - we're all on our paths for a reason. One day I hope I'll learn why DS was sent to me.

I think he's just a wonderfully vivacious little spirit who never gives up - and it gives me strength to never give up on him either
