Hi all!

Well long story short - my son was born with technically only one kidney (other is small, malformed, and non-functioning), he has been healthy until recently when he started complaining of back pain. Had a urine test done, and the ratio of creatinine-to-protein came back high (25). It has come back normal in previous tests. The doctor said it is supposed to be under 10 for an adult, but he wasn't sure what it is supposed to be for a child. We are seeing a specialist this afternoon who will be able to explain more, but I can't help but be worried....and I have another three hours to wait until I find out.

Just wondering if anyone knows what the average creatinine-to-protein ratio is for a 3 year old, and what a high level may indicate??

Many thanks
