That's what DD told me when I was telling her to hurry up and pack up her bath toys (she was stuffing around).
I replied that yes, it's not hard, so she should stop whinging and hurry up and clean up her stuff.
She then proceeded to tell me that life actually IS very hard for kids - and that adults just don't "get it."
Yes, my 4.5 is telling me this.
Oh yes, never doing anything but playing must be so difficult...

Reminds me of a teenager on Dr Phil having a whinge because she has it so hard with all the added pressure of being an only child with a single mum, because she has to entertain her mum
as a justification for why her mum should buy her the latest and greatest stuff.

I think we forget how hard it is to be a kid. the lack of control and powerlessness. bless her she is so wise. You gotta love that one.

Glad she gave you guys a laugh.
She wasn't being too bad, just stuffing around (she was tired, so pretty argumentative too - telling me that I'm not the boss - that DP is too, so I have to check with him before telling her what to do, etc)... and then came out with that.
Has anyone elses LO said something that didn't sound like it belonged in the mouth of someone so young?
