    Default Mucous/coughing/rattling in chest

    Hi all,
Just a query about excess mucous and an irritated bub because he just can't breathe properly.

He is diagnosed with silent reflux, is on losec and a thickener with his Nan HA formula, but he also has a huge rattle with breathing and struggles to cough up this mucous. He often will vomit it up and this has happened more since startingthe losec

Could it be a cold? His nose isn't blocked it's all coming from his lungs. Or could it be a reaction to losec, or maybe just a symptom of reflux? I need help because his tum is just getting full of the stuff andhe's not finishing feeds

    Thanks in advance

Yeah could be a lung infection or a virus. You don't always end up with a snotty nose. Could just be the meds too though...
    Any temps?

No, no temps at all. ALthough in thinking, he did have his injections as week ago, maybe a side effect of that. He is just so upset in not being able to breathe, it's breaking my heart

A vapouriser with some eucalptus may help with that. Otherwise there is a massaging technique to help bring the mucus up too if you have a look.

Hope your bubba feels better soon
