dammit I wish BF did that for me... Well expressing lol. I'm still 10 kgs heavier than I was pre pregnancy and I our on 29kgs but I honestly can't say that I have TRIED to lose weight. I sook and winge and complain all the time to DP but he says he likes the extra meat so I just don't try lol but it still bothers me especially because I'm only 21! I'm so envious of all the mums I see out and a out with tiny babies and the look friggen fantastic lol!!!

    Yes, I lose weight breastfeeding.

I don't actually put on a great deal of weight when pregnant, and after the birth I am usually about 5-7kg overweight. In the first few months, I find that I am so hungry from feeding and because I am so busy, I treat myself by eating what I want. I eat a really healthy diet, but my portions tend to be large. I don't tend to see any weightloss until the 4-5 month mark and then steadily lose weight.

When I introduce solids, I am also careful to cut my portion sizes down and cut out my extra treats. I haven't done much exercise since I had kids, but wear my pre-pregnancy jeans.

Scientifically you lose weight when you burn more calories than you consume.
My sister exclusively breast fed her twins, and PUT ON 10 kg in 6 months (due to poor diet)
Mum breastfed my two sisters (not me, due to medical complications) and lost her baby weight equally with all of us.
I was suprised to read the Breastfeeding burns an extra 1000 calories a day, I only eat 1900 a day now, so thats a HUGE increase.
I do expect to lose weight while BF though, Im still down 4 kg from my pre-preg weight, at 36 weeks (I lost 12 kg due to hyperemesis, and have struggled to regain it, for the first time in my life haha) but Ill report back in a few months
