Question Co-sleeping on floor EVERY NIGHT (anyone else?)

Hi i am curious to know how many of you mums out there sleep on the floor with their toddlers/ preschoolers?????????????????

As a result of 2 frequent wakes we now sleep with both our boys 1 year and nearly 4.

Hubby starts the night on a mattress of the floor with our 1yr old(only way to settle for long sleep) and i lay with 4 year old in his bed.

I then move to my bed only to swap with husband when little one wakes an does not resettle with him. Then my eldest wakes and i typically swap again and move back in with him. I then move back to my bed. By the morning the eldest is in our bed and I am usually on floor again with bubs (in my room)

Does ANYONE ELSE have night time antics as crazy as this? what to do?

Well not THAT crazy LOL...but as of late our just turned 2 year old who has always been a perfect sleeper is turning us insane!

He cries and cries for hours wanting cuddles, which we give him; only for him to actually NOT want the cuddles and instead want to play, we go in and out trying to cuddle him if he wants it but leaving and sometimes closing the door to keep him in his room if he doesnt. Finally he will go to sleep - DH & I are so exhausted by then that we head to bed not long after - AND we are TTC...tell you now it is adding to the exhaustion! After no more than a couple of hours he wakes and one of us will go in to cuddle him, sometimes he will go back to sleep (only for an hour or so) other times as soon as we crawl back in bed, he follows us in.

He insists on sleeping on a pillow set up lengthways in the middle of us! He is just as difficult for his daytime sleep!

I am crossing my fingers and praying that it is his teeth making him crazy!

With the four-year-old if you and your hubby don't want to be co-sleeping I'd be putting my foot down by now.. although I understand your pain, I have a 4 yo and he's been a terrible sleeper since birth.

With the younger one, is his bed in your room? Can you put a mattress/bed in your room for him? Then just leave him to sleep in there and your hubby can sneak back into bed with you when he's asleep.

    Thanks for your replies

Yes the mattress is on our floor, ii generally wake hubby to come to bed but soon after one will wake and its anyone guess where we end up...

I am glad I am not the only one with some ridiculous routines out there...and

we had vaccinations today...maybe that will make them sleep
