    Default Armpit lumps!

I am a new mum (Lily is 2 weeks old today) and have discovered painful lumps in my armpits since beginning breastfeedling. The one in my left armpit is now red and is the size of a regular marble and I have three smaller ones in my right armpit. I don't have any lumps on my actual breasts though..

Does anyone know what these are and what should be done about them???

Sounds like a milk duct to me just a bit higher then it should be. You need to see a professional about it before it gets out of hand. My MIL told me when she had one of her boys (cant remember which of the 3) that her arm started to puff up and one of the Midwives told her she had a cancer and should be put into sergery right away little did the midwife know that it was milk duct. MIL said she just massaged it and 'drained it' and when she was talking to her usual Dr about it he said if there was a nipple there she could have quite easily have fed

So, all in all go and see a Dr before things get out of hand.

It could be a milk duct - I had them as well and freaked out because at one stage if I squeezed the lump milk came out!!!
Mine started to decrease in size and went away a few months later.

If it is causing you pain and problems then see your doctor.
